Norma's Interests and Hobbies

Norma and her husband Ray, a real estate appraiser, are active supporters of Adventist education. Ray is head of the Fresno Hispanic Education Program. Based at the Fresno Hispanic Church, the program raises money to help Hispanic families pay for Adventist education. They've held carnivals, sold tamales, and hosted dinners for the Fresno Adventist Academy Board, and more."We're always thinking of ways to help the individual families who are sending kids to our schools," says Norma, who left a nursing position to join the education department in November 2007. "It's one of our passions. We want to help as many kids from our church get into Adventist education as possible."Ray and Norma have two children, Michael who is attending Loma Linda University, and Jessica at La Sierra University.

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear..." Psalm 46:1-2 "Those verses are an assurance for me," says Norma. "Whatever happens, He will calm our fears and take care of us.
